Stretcher Bars

Keep it straight, y’all. Stretcher bars hold your canvas taut while you work, making it easier to stitch and helping keep your canvas from getting wonky along the way.

Thread Rings & Organizers

Keep your threads from running wild. Thread rings and organizers keep your fibers together, tidy, and easy to grab, especially when you’ve got more than a few colors in the mix.

Corner Minders

Because those corners can be ornery. Corner minders cover the exposed ends of your stretcher bars, protecting your project, your stitching bag, and everything else they might snag.

Let’s talk tools.

What needlepoint notions do I actually need to get started?

The essentials are pretty simple: a tapestry needle and a good pair of scissors. Stretcher bars, needle minders, threaders, and other notions aren’t required, but they can make stitching a whole lot easier.

What should I keep in my needlepoint bag?

A needle, scissors, extra fibers, and your current project are a great start. Add a needle minder, threader, extra needles, and any other favorite tools to build your perfect on-the-go stitching kit.
